How to Cook

Deep Fry from Frozen

  • Place your McCain medium Chips in the hot oil.
  • Fry until crisp and light golden using the cooking guidelines shown.
  • Drain and serve.

From Frozen

Time2 - 3 minutes

From Chilled

 Deep Fry

Time1½ - 2½ minutes

Do not overcook.

Cooking directions based on 500g of product.

For different quantities adjust cooking time accordingly.

If thawed do not refreeze.

Tip - Best Fry Practice

  1. Always buy good cooking oil.
  2. Check that the correct temperature is reached before frying - follow manufacturer cooking guide.
  3. Strain / filter oil regularly to remove sediment - this helps the oil last longer.
  4. Only half fill the basket to achieve even cooking.
  5. Shake the basket when frying to help separate and cook evenly.
  6. Change the oil regularly - always dispose of it correctly.
  7. Always cook correct amount and try not to hold for too long.
