In late January for one weekend only, McCain teamed up with McManus Pubs to trial a bespoke menu of topped Original Choice Chips to customers. Between Friday the 27th and Sunday 29th January, customers at 5 McManus pubs could choose from three topped chips from our “Dirty Weekender”, “Filthy Fries” menus, and help beat the January blues.
The trial wasn’t just great news for customers. Over the weekend we demonstrated the benefits that pubs could reap by introducing a topped chips menu to entice customers who otherwise wouldn’t be eating. We found that just by serving a menu of Original Choice Chips at a fixed price of £3.50 at weekends, it was possible make an additional £13,043 net profit for the year.
