McCain Foodservice chips support British farming and ensure menu provenance

McCain Foods, the UK's leading frozen food manufacturer, is delighted to announce that all of its branded chips in foodservice are now made using only British potatoes, grown from the unique McCain British seed.

All of McCain chips are made from specially selected, 100% British potatoes for great quality, home-grown, British chips. McCain selects only the best quality potatoes to ensure the highest yield and a superior taste.

From field to fork, McCain guarantees great quality products. Owning a British potato seed business gives McCain control of the potatoes used from seed to harvest, giving caterer's the reassurance of full traceability. Potatoes used are simply washed, peeled, cut and prepared in sunflower oil for lower saturated fat and no hydrogenated fat.

McCain works with over 300 farmers in the UK, with many of those relationships stretching back three generations. McCain farmers adopt best practice in environmental stewardship and the company is a leading supporter of the Assured Produce Scheme promoting sustainable, environmentally responsible farming within the UK.
